I enjoy creating odd landscapes that have little to no connection to reality. These designed
landscapes disorient the sense of clear location. I incorporate symbols and patterns, meant to
be decoded like messages. I want the viewer to map their own story onto the pieces. My
favorite ideas come when I am not fully focused on what I am doing. This process allows me to
be impulsive and let the pieces evolve as I go. The work can then flow in a stream of
consciousness. The pieces talk to one other in a way I don’t completely understand.
